In 2017 I created Puppy Love, which was a collection of songs telling stories about gay romance (text on page 10 is from this album). This started a series of loosely connected albums, the second being Kissing Boys from 2019 (text from page 11 is from this album). PRETTY FUCKING UGLY/boy crazy is the third installment of this series of loosely connected albums continuing telling more stories about gay romance, good and bad.

PRETTY FUCKING UGLY/boy crazy has been sonically a columniation of everything musical I’ve made so far, all the different musical corners I’ve explored as well as some childhood favorites packed into one big package. 49 songs made over since between 2020-2022.

It was in large part inspired by the copious amount of Yaoi and BL (Boys Love) I’ve read the last two years and second part inspired by the loneliness, frustration and lack of ability to understand people I was feeling while I was in bed feeling lost doing nothing but reading these hopeful homoerotic romance stories. So the album has to be dedicated to all the great BL artists out there.
